ya basically just 2 much for me. i just want a set of 2.1, so if anyone out there wants to upgrade to surround sound these are 5.1 analog connect speakers, model number is altec lansing 251. since these are 5.1's i def would like to get a good set of 2.1 anything from creative, klipshe, jbl, altec, ozaki, edirol, harmon, or any other good set. thx for replies in advance.

I have the same set of Altec Lansing speakers in a 2.1 format, lemme know if you would go for the trade.

Here they are.
NOW YOU SEE ME! 2.4 MBP and 2.0 MBP (running ubuntu)

I have the same speakers (the one the topic started with) I think they are pretty good my self, just wish I could use the surround abilities. "Amplified Stereo" is good tho .

So yeah, if you have a PC with mini-audio-out's for front and rear speakers, this will work great for yeah.
