Unfortunately, since I am a currently college student, the only offer that I could make is insultingly low; since I make a point of not insulting random people I won't make it. My quicksilver still does what I need it to, so I can't justify replacing it. Good luck selling it; it is a nice machine .

"would you be willing to sell the powermac minus the ram?" asked liquidh2o.
Perhaps, liquid. It would depend on the offer. Tell me how much of the RAM you'd want to keep and make me an offer via email, here or private message.
I'd be happy to consider it and get back to you ASAP.
Thanks!
JC

I made a math error in my pricing in the first post. The G5 is now $500 LESS. Please see the top post for the details.
(what I did: The third-party RAM that cam with the machine was sold by the matched PAIR. When I looked up the current prices to help figure my sale price for 4 of the sticks, I applied that price to EACH RAM STICK, not to each PAIR. This doubled the RAM price on those sticks and effectively added $500 to my price.)
In addition, I have reduced the price by another couple of percentage points.
Thanks for looking.

Stoopid question,
but are you selling the 2.0 G5 to get a g5 iMac?
You have a great setup, and it will be much faster then the iMac?
Just curious.

Mike,
The G5 tower is overkill for me, now. Yes, it is faster than the iMac, but I don't use all its power.
When I bought it I did not want another G4 and did not want to wait for the G5 to make it into an iMac or eMac. Quite frankly, I didn't think it would be as fast as it is (that's why I bought the fastest machine at the time). After a year of use, I see that I really don't stress out the system at all.
Basically, I am a waste of its resources. Its best use is going to be doing more video work and 3D animation.
Don't get me wrong, I love the machine. But I can exceed my computer needs with an iMac now, for much less than the cost of the G5. I'd rather have the funds and an iMac than have a G5 that I cannot get maximum use from.
Thanks for reading!
