Wow.

I've had a Pismo for 4.5 years, but I've finally decided to upgrade. It has been rock solid for me, and I guess I conveyed that well in an ad I posted on Craigslist this afternoon because in less than 30 minutes I had a call about it. By this evening, I've had three people wanting to buy it. I guess I wasn't asking enough... or maybe I was asking for just the right amount. What do you guys think? Here are the specs:

Pismo 500 MHz
640MB SDRAM
Upgraded 40GB hard drive
Airport
Mac OS X 10.3

I was asking $500 because I was seeing other Powerbooks (not quite as nice) go for around $400 to $450. I was just surprised at how good a response I got. Would you MacNN-ers have priced this a bit higher or did I ask for just the right amount?

Oh, here are some pics:

I've got a similar machine: same age, but with more RAM and the 400Mhz processor. I've had no response to my (Austin, TX) craigslist ad asking an optimistic $600. Maybe I'll try reposting at $500, but it seems like there are lots of these machines on ebay fetching nearer $600 with all these options.

It may take longer but I think aiming for 600 isn't that crazy and settling for 550 worth it. The airport card alone can go for $100 on ebay now that apple no longer makes them.
