Here's my deal. I'm looking to convert, whether it be fully or partially, to a Mac user. I've almost completely decided on a older G3 iBook, to get my feet wet, so to speak.

Here's my requirements:
Must be well kept.
Processor speed varies. I guess the more bang I can get for my buck, I suppose.
Preferably more than 256MB of ram, though I will take 256.
Airport card.
DVD drive a must. CD-RW/DVD combo would be a definate plus.
All software, recovery CD's, manuals. The boxes for software don't matter. The software I'd like though.
A case would be nice, but not needed.

And I am willing to pay $600. Maybe more. We'll see how things go... The cheaper the better.

But, here's something... I know posting this is a little early, but I'd like to buy this around the middle to end of November. It is when I get my holiday bonus. Not before then. I'd like to treat myself to a christmas present, for once... Transaction will be using money order. No paypal, because they don't "cooperate" with my bank...

This gives anyone who was thinking about getting rid of their iBook a chance. I am definately buying one though, and if I can find someone on here instead of eBay, so be it.

Thanks for looking, and for any offers, please post in this thread with your offer, or email me at jmattick@gmail.com

Thanks again,
Joshua Mattick

I believe my iBook up for auction on eBay meets most of your specifications, except it doesn't inlclude an Airport card, and since it is an auction, I would need payment before November. Anyhow, thought it was worth letting you know. It's a no reserve auction, I accept money orders, and it ends next Monday evening.

iBook 600mHz 640MB DVD/CDRW 40GB + Extras! No Reserve!

Thanks,

I'd pick yours up, if it was only the latter part of November.

Is there anyone who can see themselves getting rid of a iBook by the end of next month? Also, is their any chance of a price drop on the G3's if rumors hold true about the new iBooks getting released soon?

TIA.
