There is what's known as a grey spot on the lcd. I can only find it because I know it's there. It does no affect operation at all. it is about 3x3 pixels...just slightly lighter than other pixels (pics if needed).

you can get a faster, more featured G4 ibook refurb for less, so yes you are asking a bit much unless you have licensed software and/or applecare to bump up the value
