Hello,
I have for sale a 7200 RPM Hitachi 7K250 with an 8MB buffer in an aluminum MacAlly 3.5" external FireWire enclosure.
Pictures of the enclosure can be had here.
I am looking for $210 with UPS Ground and insurance or best offer. Send me an e-mail at MacintoshGuy AT SBCglobal DOT Net if interested.
Thanks.

Well, if you go to the newegg site...The combo is $135 (refurbished) for the HDD, and $36 for the enclosure. Brings up the grand total of $171. What price are you looking to get it for now after this fact?

Not willing to go that low yet. There is a difference between merchandise that has been used for two weeks and merchandise that had to be returned to the manufacturer because it was defective. I especially don't trust refusbished storage devices.
In addition, not everybody knows how to or wants to deal with piecing together an external storage device. If it is something that is second nature to you, pick one up from NewEgg as it will be a few dollars cheaper. If not, let me know.
FYI: I'm willing to go to about $190 w/ UPS.

Ed is right, I'd never buy a refurbed HD. I've had nothing but bad luck with them.
