Hey everybody,

I'm looking into replacing my immaculate condition TiBook with a 17" similar spec model. My Ti is in pristine condition, all factory except that I upgraded the drive to a 7K60 TravelStar Hitachi 7,200 rpm 60GB 8mb cache. Nice performance boost without loss of battery life or added heat, for those that have wondered. Original box/cables/etc. I am open to a possible trade for a 17" PB or considering realistic offers. I am a longtime (5+ years) Ebay PowerSeller and also a PayPal verified merchant. Seeing similar stock models without the HD upgrade selling on Ebay in the $1500 +/- range I feel mine is worth somewhere in the $1700 range. Please contact with any questions and I will have photos available later on Thursday.

Thanks for looking!

PICS!

Just to clarify, please let me know if anyone is interested in making any offers. PayPal is also accepted and I'll split the PP fee with the buyer.

Hey Terry,

Good looking machine! I'm always interested in buying Powerbooks, especially at this Euro/Dollar ratio. Questions: Are you even interested in selling to Germany? How are the hinges/clutches on your machine? Could you swap this HD against a smaller/cheaper one?

Regards,
Powerbook

Hi PowerBook!

I really have neve sold and shipped anything as far as Germany, but I don't see why not. The hinges are in excellent shape with no binding or the other unusual stiffness. I am one of those that takes excessive care of my machines and I have always been careful whith the opening and closing as added security. I really don't want to get into swapping down the HD as I don't have another one on hand to replace it with, then I would have no plans for the nicer one removed so I plan on selling the machine as it is, intact with the upgraded drive in place.

Thanks and let me know if I can be of any help!

I'll throw a price out just to give some idea on this Ti...$1600 or best reasonable offer!

Ready to go right away and you will be hard pressed to find a nice last Rev Ti anywhere!

Hi Terry,

Thanks for the information. Would you consider $1500 a serious offer - I figured that price from the Apple store for a refurbished 1Gig Alubook. The two machines are comparable I'd say. Two other things: How old is the machine exactly, could AppleCare still be added? And how should we do the payment, since Paypal won't protect deals outside the U.S.? Direct CreditCard payment?

Hi again PowerBook,

Yes, I would consider $1500 fair for the machine not including shipping or transactions fees, if any. I have been a longtime PayPal Verified user, but as I mentioned before, I have not sold/shipped anything outside the U.S. so I am not too sure about their protection policies either. For further references on my part, I am also a 5+ year eBay Gold level PowerSeller with 100% perfect feedback. I handle the marketing for my family's auto brokerage and our online sales business is an important portion of that company, so we are very particular about the quality of everything we represent. You can see my feedback info under my username, jagdaytona. I am planning on listing this machine on there later today if no one else commits first. I do not have the account ability to accept a credit card payment directly since I have always relied on PayPal for this service for transactions online.

Thank you again, and please let me know how I can be of assistance.

You are welcome to e-mail me directly as well.
