I'd like to sell the Radeon 9600 XT that shipped with my G5. It's in excellent condition and I only used it for about a month and a half.

Would anyone out there be interested in purchasing it?

EDIT: Specified it was an XT

Whoops, sorry. Guess I should have been more specific. Vid is right, it's an ATI Radeon 9600 XT that shipped with a dual 2.5 G5.

That seems a little low to me. The PC version retails for $169. Looking at the prices for the 9800 Pro, the Mac version retails for 140% of the PC version. From that we can estimate that ATI would sell the Mac version of the 9600 XT for around $236.

Now I'm not looking for $236, but $100 seems low, especially since this card is almost new.

How does $169 sound? That's the PC price without the Macintosh markup.

No, because it will only work in G5s without hardware modification and it doesn't run at speeds as fast as the PC version. Additionally, hardware modding it loses you the ability to power an ADC display.

So, given the above, $169 seems high.

Hmmm... but the ATI Radeon 9200 - Mac Edition retails for $129, and the 9600 XT has much better specs. Don't you agree?

EDIT: Sorry if I'm being a pain. I'm not an expert on graphics cards and I'm just looking for a fair price. Please correct me on any of my assumptions if I am confused.

I have seen these go for $250ish on ebay, thats where I am going to sell mine, I did the same thing as Turias, so I have a spare as well

If you saw any end for that price, it was a fluke. 9800 Pros are selling for that much.

9800 XTs are all ending around $140~
