I am looking for a replacement drive for my son's xBox. I do not want one of the original Thomson 2X drives, but any of the other drives that came in an xBox or an exact replacement for one I am interested in.

I know you are looking for someone with a dead xbox, but you could always just buy a new one, runs about 50 + shipping, just search for xbox dvd drive on google, comes up with some decent stuff, http://store.videogamecentral.com/xbdvdredrn.html just one of the places to get a new one, not terribly hard to install.
