Now, the reason I'm selling it is that I have seen some visual artifacts on it. I got it back in July or so. I think that it might be a heat issue, but I'm not sure. It's strictly as is. There are not always artifacts, but it's annoying to have them (and they didn't appear until after the 30 day refurb/pull warranty was up).
it's well under half price, so if you grab it and slap a verax fan on it, maybe it'll work better, i don't know. i didn't want to spend another $60 on a fan so I am just throwing in the towel and trying to recoup a portion of what i spent.
yes, i'm back to using my kickass(tm) geforce 5200ultra in my g5.

Does the Radeon have the artifacts as soon as you get video on the screen, or does it only happen after it has been on awhile and had a chance to get hot? If it starts up with artifacts, it probably had bad ram on the card. I have seen lots of PC video cards go bad that way. They only get worse once they start. If it starts desplaying artifacts once it has had time to hear up, it may be fixable with a new cooler.
If the card does just need a new cooler, I am interested, but if the ram is bad and it is not under warranty, it has no value at all.
Sorry.

i don't think that artifacts are screenshottable are they?
i'm going to try out the video card again and i'll see what the results are.
