My employer is giving me a Powerbook to use, so I have decided to sell my own. It's a 15" Aluminum Powerbook, 1 GHz CPU,with 768MB RAM, a 60GB HD, a Combo drive, and an Airport Extreme card. It was purchased on 3/10/04, which means I've used it for about 10 months. This means it's still eligible for an AppleCare protection plan (more on that later.)

As you can see from the pictures, it has one small but certainly noticable dimple on the aluminum shell where it got dinged. There was no other damage of any kind except that dimple, and other than that "cosmetic feature," it's in excellent condition. The display is perfect, has no dead pixels, and none of the "white spots" that occurred on some early Aluminum G4s. In addition, the latching mechanism is flawless, that was also a problem on early Aluminum Powerbooks.

To decide on a fair price, I searched EBay's completed auctions, and I was able to find one near-exact match here that sold for $1545 plus shipping. The only differences are that mine is about 4 months older, and it has the aforementioned ding on the outer shell.

Because I'd rather not deal with EBay, and given the recent Powerbook upgrades, I'm willing to knock $345 off of that and sell for $1200 plus shipping. Or, if you prefer, I can purchase an AppleCare Protection plan (which is tied to the unit itself, therefore transferrable to you as the new owner) for $349, and sell it to you for $1549. If you choose not to buy AppleCare, you can still purchase it yourself any time before the 1 year anniversary of my original purchase date of 3/10/2004.

Here are the pictures:

About screen showing specs:

It comes with the original power, display, video-out, and modem cables, along with the original restore/install and iLife '04 CDs. My EBay ID is tonycpsu if you'd like to take a look at my feedback history (22 rating). If you have any other questions, please post them here so I don't have to answer them multiple times. If you're ready to buy, send me a PM. I'll be going to EBay this weekend if I can't get a sale here.

Thanks!

Couldn't finalize a deal here, so my Powerbook is available on Ebay:
