OBO?

even with the edu discount, which i didnt receive, the base model comes out to more than $1050 with tax.

you're getting the ram and the HD upgrades for free

anyone?

really want to sell this to move to a powermac, as I realized in the last 2 months I never leave my apartment, heh.

do you all think im asking too much? even the student pricing puts this at 1150 plus 70ish tax, so you still save 170 bucks, over 10%

bump, if you buy this from apple, it is 1224 + 86 tax (7%) bringing it to $1310

if you are a student, you can get it for 1151 + 81 tax (7%) bringing it to $1232

im selling it for $1050, free shipping. its less than 2 months old

im willing to go down a little, or include one of those griffin iCurve stand things. ill probably just end up having to fleabay it, but i thought i would give everyone here the chance first

They have rthis as a refurb at Apple for $849.00 but with the standard memory and 30 gig drive.
Also has the full Apple warranty.
Just for a reference.

Also these refurbs do come and go quickly.

$849 is 15% off the $999 normal base model price then.

the normal price with the ram and HD upgrades is $1224.

apply that same refurb discount, and $1224 - 15% = $1040

you also have to pay tax. ~$60 tax on the 849 laptop, bringing it up to $910.

Ill sell it for $1000 shipped. so you get the refurb % discount off the upgrades, and then an extra 40 bucks off, then an extra $60-65 off (whatever your state sales tax is).

in summary, my deal is better than the apple refurb deal going on

this is not a bad deal, but you gotta understand, people would be more willing to buy from apple and pay $50 for something that is covered for a year of warranty, and also, prices on the forum usually seem to beat the apple refurb prices siginificantly, not just by tax

i think in general, ebay gets better prices than here
ibook 900 12.1" combo 640mb =)
powerbook 1.33 15" 768mb =P
