Well, buidling the fastest G4 I possibly could became a bit of a side project for me. And now that it is completed, I'm ready for a new project to build.

So, here she is, my Dual 1.8GHz/1.5GB/320GB S-ATA/16x DVD-RW/Radeon 9800 Pro Power Mac G4:

I don't get it. What kind of idiot installs a CPU upgrade and then tries to sell it right away? You're losing boatloads of cash. WTF.

Think before you speak.

I factored the value of the machine into my reserve price. If it doesn't hit my reserve, no biggy. I'll just relist.

That is why reserve prices exist, you know.

And for what its worth, I sold my previous 1.47GHz processor upgrade for $300, essentially knocking my cost to upgrade to about $385. And I guarantee that the upgrade from 1.47 single to 1.8 dual added more than that to the value of my machine.

Interested to know the midplane specs.

Also wondered, how much of the mod is composed from ebay?

Sweet. If I were in the US right now, I'd scoop that sucker up real quick.

I am rather saddened by this fine peice of machinery. While the specs check out more than fine you have made this machine incomplete at best. I have been working on a Powermac G3 making it the theoretical best, other than simply putting another board into it. But the question still remains:

Where is the zip drive?
Where is a good paint job or lasers lights that shoot out the bat signal? (of course jokingly)

Yes, I know the zip drive is over doing it; but it just seems incomplete.

Otherwise, the machine is solid. There is absolute respect demanded from the G5s. Hope the auction goes well.
