Well, a few months back I thought I was going to need a big computer upgrade for my home office, so I splurged on the absolute top of the line Mac I could get.
Unfortunately, cut to me a few months later and I've spent so little time actually in my home office that the machine's still sitting on the floor in it's original packaging, untouched.
Now I find myself needing the space (not to mention the cash) that the machine cost me, so I've decided to let someone who'll actually appreciate it have a shot at it.
Here are the machine's stats. Anything that was upgraded from the base dual 2.5ghz model is highlighted:
Processor: Dual 2.5 ghz G5
Memory: 1 gig of DDR400 (PC3200)
Hard Drive: 250 gig SATA hard drive
Graphic Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Ultra DDL
Optical Drive: 8x Superdrive (DVD-R/CD-RW)
Airport: Airport Extreme card
Modem: 56 kbps modem
Upgrades: Bluetooth
Peripherals: Apple Wireless Keyboard and Mouse
Warranty: 3-year Applecare Support Plan
The machine retailed for $3,877 dollars, plus $249 for Applecare, for a total of $4,126 + tax. (Tax was a killer, in New York state it's over 8%, so it wound up being well over 300 more bucks... sigh).
It's still in absolutely perfect condition, in the box it shipped in, unopened, shrink-wrapped, etc...
I'll sell it for the best offer I get, at this point.
If you're in the New York City area, and have a means of picking it up from my house, great. No shipping fees and I'll get to meet you and say goodbye to the machine.
I'll accept cash, money order, or personal check (I will obviously want to wait for the check to clear).
If necessary, I'll also take Paypal, but you'll have to pay the surcharge that Paypal will take from me (2.9% of the total).
Obviously, this is a big purchase, so if you need any sort of reassurance from me, please let me know so we can work it out.
(Oh, and for anyone wondering, I'm still working on a mac. I've just discovered that my needs are much better met by a laptop than this desktop).
