Like the thread title says I really want to purchase a Ti Powerbook. I am specifically looking for 867 and 1 gig CPUs. I would entertain a 667 too but it would HAVE to have DVI support at least. I'm looking at spending about $800 - 1000. I think that is a resonable amount for a Ti PB. I've tried looking around but all I can really find are some 667's for sale at the mac techstore for like 899 and that isn't really a good deal as they don't even have airport.

I have an 800dvi, but I love it. I think most tibook owners like their machines too much to part with them.

I would think some of you might want to upgrade. I mean... the new aluminum ones are certainly nice and I would purchase one if I had 1500.

Search Powerbook Titanium on Ebay today, I did it yesterday and found 2 667s from a seller. I think they were both in your range. I am looking for a 1ghz model now, and they are hard to find. The reason is that folks still want to boot in OS9, and the machines are easier to take apart and upgrade drives.

Ahh I see. It seems like all the ones on Ebay are just totally beat and used up. Most of them I found had broken hinges or REALLY flaked off paint. I was hoping for an 867 I guess... I'm suprised more members don't want to get rid of one and upgrade. I'd certainly sell one and scrape together the cash for a new PB.

Howdy,

I have a DVI Ti in great condition.

The screen and top case are only a few months old (replaced by apple under applecare). The screen is perfect with NO dead pixels or scratches.

It has airport, a 60GB 5400 RPM fluid bearing HD and 1GB RAM.
I've also upgraded the optical drive to an 8X DVD-R/+R/RW Superdrive from MCE.

It was an 800 OC'd to run at 933MHz. Been running fast & stable for a few months now.
I also have two AC adapters for it.

If interested, email me at bluloo aht geemale period kom, or use the link at the top of this post.
