Ok so I am not ready to sell it just yet but in the next month it should be up for a new home. I bought the laptop in November 2003 and everything works fine except for the motherboard. It died and would be better off buying new rather than getting it fixed. But maybe a computer savvy person could fix it for cheap. Anyways here are the specs, nothing special:

Compaq Presario 2182US
Intel Celeron 2.4Ghz
256mb PC2100
40GB seagate 5400rpm?
CDRW/DVD Combo
15" screen

$600/obo - I am going on the really high side I know. But that is why the "obo" is there

I plan on selling this right after I get an iBook, which will be after the much anticipated update. You can PM or email me.

so basically you are selling a bunch of good parts attached to a dead mobo, right ?

Oh, and since you apparently havent read the posting guidelines, the mods will probably be slammin ya soon......ie all posts here must have a price and a "FS"/"FA"/"FT" lable attached from the start.....NO "feelers/interest checks" allowed

you are correct about the good parts and also about the dead motherboard.

the problem is with the dma on the motherboard. what that means is that the hard drive cannot send the necessary information to the motherboard and the cd-rom cannot send any info to the motherboard. so you can't boot of a cd or start up windows off the hard drive. so you would need to replace the motherboard before this becomes useable, if you wanted to use it rather than just the parts.

oh and on the screen i believe there is 1 dead pixel. i saw it when i first bought it and haven't noticed it since, but i think it was on the bottom right side.
