For sale/trade is my fairly new Windows laptop. Selling it because I need money to buy some sort of Mac laptop. Bought it Jan. 2005 (near end of month).

Specs of course

Brand: Averatec
Processor: AMD Athlon XP-M 2800+
RAM: 512MB
Hard Drive: 40GB
Screen: 15.4" - 1 Hardly noticable dead pixel in top left (pic upon request)
Drive: DVD/RW
Wireless: Built-in MiniPCI 802.11G Wireless
Ports: Ethernet, Modem, 4 USB, VGA, PCI, Mic, Audio
Power Adapter: Yes
Lock Port: Yes
Input: Keyboard & 2 Button Trackpad w/ Horizontal+Vertical Scrolling
Battery: Like new, I did the drain/recharge twice a month, lasts ~4 hours
OS: Windows XP Home w/ SP2
Original: Restore Disks, XP Disks, Other Disks, Manuals, Packaging, Box
Case: Averatec Case (built for computer, fits perfect, very nice)
Condition: Like new, clean, no cracks, worn parts, ect. Case is brand new
Pictures: http://homepage.mac.com/itasor/PhotoAlbum8.html
More Pictures: Custom pictures available upon request, feel free to ask
References: Ebay ID: "itas0r", users on MacRumors (upon request)
Payment methods: I like Money Orders, I have PayPal, but would really prefer a M.O. if possible. If trading (preferred) w/ no payment involved, this doesn't matter.

A month or so ago, I renewed Norton AntiVirus, so the laptop would include about 11 months of Norton! I will also leave Office 2002 Pro w/ FrontPage, Photoshop CS2, and a few other programs on the computer, but it is your responsibility to delete them as soon as you get the computer because you don't own the licenses, I do.

WHAT I WANT:
I am either looking to sell this computer or trade for a Mac. Not interested in another PC, sorry. If I sell, the money will be used for a Mac.
I am 100% open to all and any trades. What you think may not be good enough may appeal to me.
As far as money, make any/all offers as well and I'll see what I want to take and not take.
Make offers. The worst I'll say is "Thanks, but no thanks".

I would love to get an offer to trade for a powerbook g4 867mhz or higher, or an iBook.

Please PM me with offers, so we can have a personal talk about it if possible, or e-mail itasorATgmail.com (replace 'AT' with @).

Thank you! and feel free to ask me anything you need to!

Just to give a better idea, I would be willing to trade this for:

iBook G3 (not a really slow one)
iBook G4 (any)
PowerBook G4 (any)

Thanks and SOMEONE TAKE THIS! I hate switching constantly between Mac/PC when I want to use my computer in another room!

Thanks for the offer! I think 300Mhz may be a bit too slow for me, but I will let you know if I decide to take the deal!

Not quite an even trade but I've got a white iBook 500 Dual USB with 768MB RAM and a 6GB hard drive. It's in good shape, has some wear and tear on the bottom of the unit (as most used iBooks do). Screen is good save for one stuck pixel which was there since I purchased it. The 'book is currently running OS 10.4.

I'm really in the market for a PC subnotebook to replace my Portege 3100CT, but a full size lappy wouldn't be so bad either.

Hmm. How did you get 768MB in it? The max is 640MB, unless you changed the 128MB factory memory.

Would you trade that + cash?

I'll have to check it again, I thought it was 768, though it could very well be 640MB. I know there's a 512MB chip in there. Not sure if the 128MB in the lower slot can be changed out on an iBook 500. It gets confusing, I've got 3 laptops here.

But certainly I'd consider a trade plus cash. Right now the book is sitting in storage at my mother's house. I'll have to get a hold of it and get the exact stats for you. The book itself hasn't been used in about a year.

Yeah I think the 128 is soldered on. It must be 640. How much cash are you willing to add?
