Hey everybody,

Selling my super reliable G3 B&W. I have been using this as a server for my business but just migrated to a G5 server so this machine is no longer needed. Comes with 128MB/and a 13GB hard drive. Also, nice to have a DVD drive instead of just CD. It's got a fresh Panther install but no disks come with it. In very nice condition except for one crack in one of the top handles that has been repaired, mainly just cosmetic.

Anyway, it's a nice machine, never gave me a moments trouble and would make a great server, jukebox or whatever else you can think of for it to do.

Only asking $95 plus whatever shipping is or local pick up is fine too. I also can take PayPal.

Let me know who can use this little beast!

Good price, but:

mobo revision 1 or 2 ?
what video card ?
Hardware dvd decoder built onto video card or not ?
DVD format....-ROM, -RAM ect and speed ?
Why are you selling it w/ panther installed but no disks included ? (which violates the EULA!)

Hi bowowman,

I'm just selling it as it is. It came to me with Panther installed but no disks so I was just leaving it that way but I'd be happy to wipe the drive clean if someone wants it that way.

Has an ATI Rage 128 video card, 16MB I'd say.

No real info on the DVD drive, again it was installed before I got the machine.

Again, for a cheap machine that has served me well I'd think someone could use it. It's hitting eBay here in just a little while but until someone commits it'll still be available.

IIRC, the Rage128 has DVD decoding built in...shouldn't need any additional decoding hardware

The Rage cannot do dvd movie decoding by itself. That's why
apple offered the option of a hardware decoder that was piggybacked onto the Rage card,but ONLY if the machine was ordered with a DVD drive.

Thanks bowowoman but that's still less than I am getting from my local buyer the end of the week. They are paying $75 and picking it up, no shipping involved. I;m guessing shipping to be around $20 or so, so if you want it, match the price at $95 shipped and its yours.
