After having the $500 deal of the century stolen from under my feet with a last minute bid, I now continue to be in the market for a 15" (or 12") Powerbook. I'm a soon to be college Freshman who needs a good computer to last 4 years and would love to do graphic arts work/ video editing stuff for fun as well. I am looking for a 15" (or 12") Powerbook, preferably with a 1.25 ghz processor, superdrive, and Tiger, though am flexible. I'm looking to spend perhaps $1200 (less for 12,) and would like to use eBay's approved escrow.com to pay for safety's sake (I'd pay the fees if I got a reasonable offer.) If you'd like to trade, I have a G3 iBook 800 Mhz, 30gig HD, 640 Ram, CD-ROM, Airport, 12" that I'd trade for the Powerbook and would pay perhaps $500 in addition, though this is all negotiable. I hope to get some offers, I really could use this deal.

Just to let you know...when I was in the market for a 15' Powerbook, my budget was $1500 and I couldn't even get a 1.25Ghz for that. (Ridiculous) Anyway for $1200 you should be able to get a very hooked up 12'. I ended up getting an awesome deal. A 15' Powerbook, 1.5Ghz, with 1 GB of RAM for $1500. So, I wish you all the luck in the world. I know it's rough.

You can very close to that via Apple's site for a REFURBed PB - including full year's warranty, Probably with Tiger & iWork thrown in
