Looking for a video capture device to transfer VHS video to computer and then burn to DVD. Preferably with Firewire AND USB interface, and includes video editing software that covers capture, simple editing and then to burn DVD.

A word of caution: I have a formac studio TVR and I would advice against getting one; the software is buggy, formac never replied to my request for a fix, and the device gets the audio an video slightly out of sync. Maybe others have had better luck, and the newer models may have fixed some bugs, but I would not pay more than $40 for the thing that I got now that I know how well it works. A friend of mine really likes his USB eyeTV, so maybe you would have some luck with their firewire version.

I agree, my EyeTV 200 (Firewire interface) is GREAT! It captures native MPEG-2 that you can export to iDVD for burning. Sorry, I'm definately NOT giving it up! New or used, it's worth looking into

another vote for eyetv simply because the software is great. I think they have a partnership with formac now so you may be able to use a formac with the eye tv software.
