I have a 12" G4 powerbook in exc. cond., has 768 ram, Airport card (g), superdrive, etc. - unfortunately due to hardware incompatibilities, I will need to go back to Win (as much as I hate to do so).

I would be interested in trades for a very compact windows machine - I specifically like the Fujitsu P-series sub-notebooks, but also the really small Sony's (all the laptops with 10.7" or so screens, widescreen). It would have to be a really good unit for me to trade, though, so please don't lowball me with way outdated stuff that isn't close to being comparable.

Otherwise, I will probably sell it outright and just buy what I need. I'd be interested in offers for this, email me directly at ljklassen(at)mts(dot)net - replace words in parentheses with symbols, of course. I don't check for PM's, sorry.

Okay, here are the specs of my system:

1.33GHz PowerPC G4 12" Powerbook
HD: 80GB
RAM:768mb
Airport Extreme
Superdrive
Has various software installed (it was on there when I got it), including MS Office 10, Toast 6 Titanium, and a newer version of iLife (I believe I have the CD's for the iLife).

I'll be home in a couple days (on a trip right now), so at that point I can take pics, etc. - I'd consider offers on it, possible trades for Win laptops (only reason I'm considering selling this baby is because of hardware conflicts). I may be interested in the desktop mentioned above, if you could send pics and an offer that would be appreciated.

I can give you my sony vaio. It is in perfect condition and is faster than the dell by .40 ghz not to mention weighing about the same and looking a hell of a lot better! I need to get a mac for school.

a sony vaio pcg-v505bx. My laptop has a Pentium-M 2.o ghz ,1gig of ram, 60 gig harddrive, 802.11b/g internal wifi, internal memory stick reader, pc card slot, adio in slot, 12.1 inch screen, magnesium case, ilink port, second high capacity battery and charger, a best buy 5 year warrenty on all parts, and a cd-rw/dvd drive. It retailed for over $2200. The laptop in in perfect condition. Will email pictures. I will also include in the trade a copy of unreal turnament 2004, morrowind, adobe elaments 3.0, adobe acrobat. I will include a $650 copy of adobe indesign CS sealed in its box. It all ammounts to over a $3000 value. The laptop is in perfect condition and can run graphics intensive programs very well. I get 3 hours of life per battery. I will do a fresh install on the system.

My girlfriend is looking to get a mac laptop instead of her current inspiron.

I apologize for the delay in responding, I was on holidays and only had intermittent access to internet, then for some reason was unable to access this site. Did anyone else have these problems with access, by the way?

Anyway, in terms of laptops I would need in trade, I need something quite compact (like this - I prefer 10.7" or so screen, +/- a bit), and it would need to have the centrino chip (ie. something decently fast, but low on battery useage so that it will last quite a long time). Ones that fit this bill are Fujitsu's, and the Sony's. I'm sure there are others, I'm not sure what there is out right now.

Otherwise I'd still consider selling it outright for the right price.

Well I didn't hear back from anyone listed here lately, so I'm posting again.

The last offer I got was $1100 US, but wasn't able to respond in a timely manner (if that individual is still interested, email me directly). It is pretty loaded (see the above posting by me for specs). I really need to go back to a Windows-based unit, unfortunately, otherwise I wouldn't be selling it. I'm looking for a Fujitsu Lifebook (5xxx or 7xxx) ideally, or a different laptop with 10.7" widescreen format (or smaller) with built-in CD (preferrably built-in DVD burner like my Powerbook has).

Okay, I've purchased my replacement laptop so I'm only selling this loaded baby now. Email me if you'd like to purchase, it is in excellent condition, fully loaded as described, and I'm including a radtech sleeve with it. I may sell a carrying bag that is fitted along with it, email me about that if you are interested in it (a Crumpler bag). I won't sell the bag separately, though, unless I sell the laptop first.
