I'm looking for an older G4 powermac, preferrably a Gigabit Ethernet, Digital Audio, or Quicksilver model. I don't have a lot of requirements aside from the model and that it works. The older/cheaper the better, as I plan on upgrading it quite a bit. Shoot me a pm.

My mom has a Sawtooth G4 that already has 1GB of ram, 1.4GHz G4 7457, radeon 8500, 60GB HD, and such.

Would that interest you?

Perhaps. I would probably still put a dual upgrade card in. The only problem with a Sawtooth is only certain models work with dual processors. See here http://powerlogix.com/support/agp_du...pat/index.html I didn't include them as an option because I didn't want to burden people to download the app and find out.

I'm hoping to find a cheap Mac. I'm sure your mom could get quite a bit more out of that machine than I am looking to spend.

Ok.
This one is dual capable. If you give me a budget range I'd see if it's worth selling. You could then sell the CPU separately if you so chose.
It's just gathering dust and acting as a stand for the mini that's been sitting on top of it for a few months.

Thanks for checking. I hate to give a price, but I'm looking at 200-300 for a limit. I'll be replacing the processor, hardrive, ram and maybe the optical drive on the machine I get.

You could get quite a bit more on ebay for that machine though. I've been looking a lot lately.
