17" REV B G5 iMac
2.0 Ghz G5 processor
2 GB RAM + Additional 512 MB DIMM
160 GB Hard Drive
128 MB ATI Radeon 9600
Bluetooth 2.0 + Airport Extreme
Dual Layer Superdrive
3 years Applecare (expires June 2008)
iWork
Final Cut Pro (preinstalled)
Toast 7.0 Titanium
Roxio The Boom Box
Quicktime Pro 7.0
ioGear Media Card Reader/USB Hub

Only 4 months old and in perfect condition! $1,300 shipped to your door in the original box with all original packaging. I prefer Paypal that way you can use a credit card if you want (protects me and you). You will not find a better deal with these specs. I'm essentially giving this away because my wife and I will be making a purchase for our new home.

Try breaking down it by computer and software prices. Some people just might want the computer and some might want just the software provided you have legitimate CDs for them.

All of the software listed is preinstalled so I am not charging anything for it. The iPod Shuffle and the USB hub are also just thrown in to sweeten the pot. So, actually, the price listed is for the computer only and the shipping (which will cost me $50-$100 fully insured). The computer sans shipping and taxes is well over $2100 through the Apple store.

I'm not really charging anything for the programs as they are all preloaded. So, not taking the programs into consideration at all, I am selling a computer that would cost you $2,143 from Apple today not including tax and shipping for $1,700 and I am throwing in the shipping which is going to cost me $50-100 to ship fully insured through UPS.

sorry pal but nobody would pay for that when they could get a new 17" iMac for the same price. you should ask in the range of $900.
NOW YOU SEE ME! 2.4 MBP and 2.0 MBP (running ubuntu)

Yeah right. That's f*cking ridiculous. I know macs lose their value over time. But I'm not going to take a $1200 loss after only 4 months. Besides, the new 17" iMac is 100 Mhz slower, and by the time you upgrade the RAM (even through a third party),add Applecare, and pay for tax, it's going to cost $1700-$1800. I guess nobody realizes the hidden costs associated with buying a new mac?

No way. I'd be better off keeping it than selling it for such a ridiculous price. It's worth at least $1700 and I'm willing to sell it for $1300 shipped so if that's too high and you think the new iMac is that much better, then by all means, spend your $1700-$1800 on it.

It's worth at least $1700 and I'm willing to sell it for $1300 shipped so if that's too high and you think the new iMac is that much better, then by all means, spend your $1700-$1800 on it. The fact is, the cheapest you can buy 1 GB DIMMS of RAM right now is $150 each (DDR2 will be much higher though). So, take $300 and add it on to the $1300 the new iMac costs. Applecare is another $170. Tax will be roughly $50. So now you're looking at $1820. Plus I'm including an extra 512 MB DIMM, a $60 USB hub/car reader, and free shipping. So, if you think the new iMac is worth $500+ more than mine, then I suggest you buy the new iMac. Oh, and the new 17" iMac is also 100 Mhz slower.

Good luck dude! eBay is your best bet! Youre not gonna get anywhere near $1300 for it here! But, you'll probably score that on eBay! So Good Luck!!!

Hmm, so is my lack of reputation the reason I'm having trouble selling this? I guess that would have to be the only reason. You will not find a better iMac for this price, guaranteed. I don't know what to tell you. I don't sell things very often so it's hard to "build" a reputation. I am a CPA here in Missouri if that helps any. I'm also only dealing through Paypal which has anti-fraud measures in place in order to protect consumers such as yourself. If you need some letters of recommendation, I guess I can provide them for you. And, btw, when I first priced this, I was including the discs and license for Final Cut Pro 5. Now, since nobody can afford that, I am selling it sans the discs for Final Cut Pro.
