hey all,
I'm putting up my powerbook due to some issues that I can't take the time to resolve, and I'm in need of a portable to be, well, portable.

First off though, this would either be for someone who knows what's wrong with it, or who can live with it as-is. It has a small crack in the top bezel near the back-right side, right above the keyboard (seen in pic). Slightly beneath that, on the side right where the power cord plugs in, there's a chip taken out (pic for that too). None of this affects how the powerbook performs, as I've been using it as is for a few months now. The last issue is that when it's put strictly on battery power, it doesn't keep powered up. The battery shows a full charge (pic also), but the powerbook won't let the battery power it. If anyone wants any more pics or has questions on how it operates, or anything of the sort, feel free to shoot me an email.

So... this machine would be good for a person who would use a powerbook as a desktop machine, or maybe plugged into a 2nd monitor or something. But once you pull the plug to put it into your backpack, zoink, it's off.

Anyways, on to the specs:
Everymac.com specs
800mhz G4 with 1mb L3 cache
512mb ram
2 month old samsung 40gig hard drive
Airport card
new LCD hinges (nice and tight)
Combo drive (DVD/CD-R)
DVI output
10/100/1000 Base-T
15" LCD (no dead pixels, 1 small mark can be seen when help up to light at the right angle from the keyboard when closed)
fresh install of Tiger

**PICS**

feel free to fire off any questions you might have about it and i'll do my best to answer them. I've had this machine for more than a few years now and it's served me quite well. Just now, i need to have one that's actually portable on battery power.

$700 shipped or b/o - partial trades considered (for other powerbooks that is)
