You advertise "14" widescreen high definition screen."
To most people (and Apple) "high definition" means 1920x1080 or better. Your 14" widescreen is less than 1920x1080, so I think it's slightly deceptive to call it high definition.

But on second thought, HP calls it high definition too.
"The 14-inch BrightView WXGA high-definition widescreen display has a 15:9 aspect ratio and 1280 x 768-pixel resolution"

mduell have you ever heard of 720i?

1080i is not the only high definition resolution on the market.

One of the resolution specs used in the HDTV 720i stands for resolution of 1280x720 pixels and the magic little 'i' means that the video is in interlaced format. Other common HDTV resolutions are 1080i and 720p.

Interlaced=Method of smoothening the video picture moving by having double the amount of frames than the video's fps value suggests.

hdtv formats
--------------
1080i 1080p 480i 480p 576i 576p 720i HDTV Interlace Progressive

your talking to a guy who studied hd when on the market for a lcd tv screen not just the sprinkle on top
i guess most people are fooled into believing that 1080+ is the only hd resolution kinda sad.

need i say more?
i guess out of all the people me and hp are the only ignorant ones to hdtv resolution

I'm well aware that there are multiple HDTV resolutions. Heck, when the FCC first asked for proposals, there were about 18 different standards, each with a variety of resolutions, row orders, and framerates if I recall correctly.
I still think it's deceptive to call anything less than 1920x1080 "high definition". It cheapens the term.

Not true.. I have this laptop and HP's sticker right at the top of the Laptop says High Definition Brightview Widescreen. The display really is gorgeous and looks better then most Brightview W/S displays I have seen..

Why don't you quit thread crapping? It cheapens the Marketplace.
