Hello All,
Our family’s needs have changed. We have a beautiful 2.0 GHz, 20-inch iMac G5 computer that we love. But, my wife is going back to college, and would like to have a portable computer that she can take with her to class.
So, I am looking to see what kind of trade we might be able to work out for a portable computer.
If you would prefer to skip the text description and jump directly to the page where I have all the pictures and formatted text, you can use this link:

This system is only a few months old. We purchased it directly from Apple computer in October of 2005. It also has the extended AppleCare warranty. This warranty coverage provides complete protection for the system until October 23rd of 2008.
This warranty is transferrable. So, you can rest assured that this computer will serve you well for years to come.
I’ll detail the specifications below. But, first, I’ll explain what we are looking for.
We are looking for a potential trade with someone who has a recent model Apple iBook or PowerBook G4. We are open to the idea of a straight-accross swap if the specs of the portable computer are high enough. Otherwise, we will consider partial trades (such as iBook / Power Book plus cash / money order for the iMac G5).
We are most interested in a portable computer that still has warranty coverage from Apple. AppleCare would be a motivating factor in considering your trade over other systems. It is always nice to have the assurance of a warranty. Especially since our system still has such a long warranty period left.
So, the longer the remaining warranty on your system, the more likely we are to be interested in your system.
I understand that the original (1-year) factory warranty is not transferrable. So, any system without AppleCare is basically “As-Is”. So, Like I said, AppleCare is preferred.
I will consider systems without AppleCare if we can agree to mutually acceptable terms.
256 MB of RAM is considered minimum, and a G4 processor a must. The faster the better.
OS 10.4 is also preferred, but 10.3 may be acceptable depending on the terms of the trade (system plus cash, etc.).
Everything is open to discussion, so feel free to contact me with a description of what you have, and what you would be interested in working out. We can always discuss options, and see what we can agree to.
Likewise, if you don't have a portable computer to trade towards my computer, and you would like to purchase my system; feel free to contact me with your offers (I am able to accept PayPal payments).
So, with all that said, here is the description of the system I have available for trade:

MacTallic “Touch Turn” turn table. This allows you to easily swivel the monitor left or right when you have the original iMac G5 stand installed.
And, of course the original iMac G5 stand / foot if you don’t want to use the wall-mount feature I have installed.
If you like, you can request me to re-install the original iMac G5 foot / stand for you before I ship it to you. Otherwise, I can leave the wall-mount adapter installed for you.
Please note that I am not including the arm that I have mounted on my wall which mates to the wall-mount adapter on the iMac G5. But, I will happily include the wall-mount adapter that is currently attached to the back of the computer (the flat plate with mounting holes to attach to the arm).
And, of course, the other standard built-in features are included (audio in / output, digital audio out, built-in Microphone, etc.
Naturally, this system has built-in stereo speakers (which sound great).
Additionally, I will be including all the original materials that came with the computer. This includes:
The original manuals, DVD and CD-ROM (installation / restore) disks, paperwork, license agreements, warranty papers, AppleCare documents, and the shipping box (and packing materials) that Apple shipped the computer to me in.
And, Don't forget about the AppleCare Warranty. This system has full warranty coverage until October 23, 2008.
This is a wonderful and beautiful package. I really hate to part with this system. But, my wife would like a portable computer that she can take with her to college classes.
