Longtime member of MacNN and ebay (100%) wants to buy a Apple PowerBook G3 Firewire PISMO. Looking to replace an older PB and this model fits the budget.

I'm looking to sell my G3 500MHz Pismo, which features these upgrades: 1GB RAM, 60GB 7200 RPM Hitachi Travelstar drive, Airport card, Tiger, and Newertech high capacity battery (also replaced the rubber feet!). No dead pixels. I'm the original owner and it's been a fantastic machine. I just upgraded to a 12" G4 because I needed something a little more portable, as I'm doing a lot of traveling now.
I'd take $450 plus shipping. Let me know if you're interested.

Scoop417, that sounds like a heck of a Pismo! I had that model.... my first Powerbook ever.
IMHO, one of the best ever made. Great price as well. Do you have any pics?

i hope you're just looking for the sake of nostalgia, because it's already sold. i think i'm regretting it already! i wish apple continued to make products that were so easy to upgrade as the pismo.
