No... The fee is on you for accepting payment through PayPal, not on the buyer for paying through it. It is against the PayPal EULA to cover the fee at the buyer's expense.

I do not see it in the link you've provided either. But I know for a fact that it is not permitted, which is why eBay does not allow fee tacking. This is not 'my rule', it is common practice to disallow additional charging to cover PayPal fees on practically every message board I have been to that allows trading/selling.

But if you'd like to find out for sure I'd be more than happy to submit your account ID to PayPal and we can see what they have to say about it.

Regardless, this shouldn't require discussion. The fee is on you for opting to take a quick, convenient form of payment rather than waiting for payment through the mail. There is a reason why the fee is charged on your end and not on the buyer's. Charging the buyer reflects badly on you. If you don't want to get charged the fee, don't accept PayPal. It's as simple as that.

If you would like to debate this further, feel free to drop me a private message. But any further attempts to charge the buyer your PayPal fees on this forum will result in your threads being locked.

Uhh, although you are a moderator for macnn forums, your "powers" do not include telling me what I can and can not do with paypal and ebay. Do you work for ebay/paypal? No? Then lay off. I don't care if it reflects badly on me. People will just not buy my stuff if they think so poorly of me.

Watch everyone - this thread will now get locked, because someone is questioning Lateralus' holy authority.

Correct. But I can tell you what forms of conduct are permitted on this forum.

And just for the record;

VI. No Surcharges. Under Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express regulations and the laws of several states, including California, merchants may not charge a fee to the buyer for accepting credit card payments (often called a "surcharge"). You agree that you will not impose a surcharge or any other fee for accepting PayPal as payment. This restriction does not prevent you from imposing a handling fee in connection with the sale of goods or services, as long as the handling fee does not operate as a surcharge (in other words, the handling fee for transactions paid through PayPal may not be higher than the handling fee for transactions paid through other payment methods).
