Well unfortunately my 17" powerbook had the backlighting on the screen go out and after looking at the apple boards I felt confindent that it was the inverter board or simply a blown bulb. After sourcing the repair costs of a few online vendors I sent my powerbook to get fixed by macservice.com who quoted me a price of $249 total to replace the inverter board. However when they did their diagnostic they found that the problem was the logic board (as all the other suspect components tested out "ok"). The price they quoted me to fix this was $795, if any of you knew how to repair this, you could most likely save a sonsiderable amount here. The big problem is I am graduating college and I don't have $800 and really don't need a laptop anyomre. So I am trying to see how much I could get for it. It would come fully loaded with all my music(10gigs mostly rock), movies and software (virtual pc, photoshop, toast, and a bunch of other goodies I can't remember right now).

17" powerbook G4
1.33 Ghz power pc
80 gig HD
512 MB ram
It has light scratches in a few places and one small dent near the media card slot from when I dropped it about 1 foot.
Also comes with a carrying case I purchased for it.

I hope I can get around $700 as this machine has not had a single problem before this and has been a solid performer for me while I've owned it.

Let me know, thanks for any input.
Jeremy
