I'm looking to buy a laptop. Either a PC or mac will be fine. I don't want to spend anymore than $600 on this. I would like it to be a lighter weight one. A dvd burner would be a big plus. Let me know what you have.

I have a toshiba protege 4010. It is a p3-m at 933mhz 512mb ram 30gb hdd cd-rw drive 12.1" lcd (1024x768) it weighs about 4lbs and the battery lasts about 45min with wifi on. A new battery will prob be about $40 on ebay. It also comes with its a/c adapter and a very nice dell carrying case (cost about $150 when new) How about $350 plus shipping to you?

in terms of apple notebook, i have a very nice pismo G3 500mhz that i bought from another member on this forum. You may scoff that it is a G3, but it has a 60gb 7200rpm hard drive and 1gb of ram. It has Tiger and iLife preinstalled. I also have an original powerbook pismo box for it. here's the thread i made for it.
