A replacement phone is *usually* a refurbished phone. I know wireless providers do this, but I'm not sure if Nokia does this as well.

Well considering the phone is brand new on the market and they just got them in this week, I highly doubt it is refurbished. Also, Vodafone would have to tell me it is refurbished.
