Greetings:

I'm looking to move to MacTel so sadly putting this machine up for sale. Decided to gauge interest in parting it out, prices for components listed below. Nothing goes unless the processor sells. For the processor, it is your responsibility to determine that it is compatible with your machine -- certain Sawtooth motherboards are not capable of running this.

It started life as a Sawtooth G4 tower and I've added the following:
  • OWC/Powerlogix dual 1.5GHz G4 processor upgrade $350
  • Retail ATI Radeon 9800Pro MacEdition (128 meg VRAM) $250
  • Seagate ST3120026A 120 gig hard drive $30
  • 1 gig of memory (4 sticks, $20 each, $75 for all)
  • NEC ND-3540A CD-RW/DVD-RW drive $40
  • Seasonic Super Tornado 300W power supply $70, includes modified wiring harness
  • Updated internal 120mm fan $15
  • USB 2.0 card, NEC-chipset, but this acts kind of funky, it's there if you want to play with it. $15

This is all top shelf stuff and the machine runs very reliably. I had to do some Dremel work on the rear panel to get the new power supply to fit (the power plug was in a different place) and to improve airflow.

I have most if not all the original parts if you want them.

I'm located in the San Francisco Bay Area if anyone local is interested. I'd be willing to ship if needed.

Asking $725/best reasonable offer and I will accept paypal or USPS Money Order. Shipping costs for the whole machine will be worked out if needed, prices for parts include shipping, discounts for multiple parts negotiable.

I have an excellent history on ebay as cyberee and on fredmiranda.com as cybere

Here are some pictures of the machine:

What speed was the original proc.? I have a friend at work who just bought an old sawtooth to play with so if this is faster and cheap (if buyer doesn't want it and you have it lying around) he might buy it.

sorry for the delayed reply, i was out of town. per the sticker on the back of the chasis, it was originally a 450MHz. i'm not sure i want to sell the orig. parts separately yet, i may decide to part the machine and use some of the originals to restore the machine to original specs.
