I'll save the rest of the people their time by asking if the original installation cds/dvds for all of these programs will be included. If not, then you're not allowed to offer them as part of the sale legally.

SJohnson615 - I personally feel that your question is unwarranted and unnecessary. The forum rules already clearly state that we can not list unlicensed software. By asking whether or not I'm breaking the rules or selling illegally offends me, quite frankly. Or do you always police the forum and ask everyone if what they are selling are hot items?
Anyway, for your peace of mind....
The following comes with the original installation disks (and boxes too, if desired, but will have to pay a little bit extra for shipping because it is a bit bulky):
~iLife '06
~iWork '06
~Microsoft Office
~Tiger
Adobe CS2 is part of a multi-license and we have extra licenses. I'm contacting Adobe how I can pass one the licenses to one user. In other words, I'll ask what I need to provide the buyer.
Now, do you have an offer SJohnson615 or were you just trolling my thread?

Please don't feel like he was attacking you. There have been many threads in the marketplace forums recently that ignore the rules. I think most people don't even look at the rules. The most common mistake is posting "feelers" or not posting an asking price.
A lot of ebay sellers list "pre-loaded" software as meaning that it is pirated. So i think the term "pre-loaded" has gotten a bad reputation recently. It is a nice time-saving service that you have pre-loaded the software on it. Loading software on a new computer is always a drag for me. a lot of people say "original cds/included" right off the bat to put the potential buyers at ease.
again, please don't be offended by his words. he is only trying to help you. Offending threads have been known to be deleted by the mods.
Anyways, I commend you for reading the rules beforehand and good luck with your sale

Judging from the price one should be able to assume the cds are included. That's a lot of money for a TiBook by itself. Just a thought.

Hi SLiMeX-
At the moment, I'd rather sell the whole thing as a package. If I get a reasonable offer for the TiBook, less the CS2, I'd sell the Suite. Thanks.

Wow! That was a bit over the top! All I was doing was trying to inform you of something you may not know. If your original post had mentioned the original cds were included, then it never would have happened. By just reading the post, it would seem that you were including the software on the machine (without cds) and using it as an excuse to push up the price.
So, in the interest of people that may be interested in buying the laptop, I simply wanted to verify that the original media was going to be included.
As much as you feel that my original response was unwarranted and unnecessary, the same could be said for your firey reply as well.
Anyway, have a great day and I hope you are successful in selling your TiBook.

Would you sell pirated software here even though the rules says it isn't allowed? If not, why would you think I would? Just curious.
I didn't think to expressly put that the original CDs/DVDs will be included because it is understood that only licensed software is allowed here (per forum rule).

But that doesn't change the fact that it happens here all the time, and more often than not by newly registered members. He wasn't trying to be a jerk, and I'm sure that he didn't mean to offend. That's why he asked you instead of reaming you for it based on an assumption. And make no mistake, there are plenty of people on here that would have reamed you for it, because it's an on-going thing. We police the forums the best we can, but it takes a group effort to make sure sales are aboveboard and no one gets burned. The same guy that was looking out for would-be buyers of your TiBook would probably be looking out for you as well on an item you might be interested in buying, as would many others.
I applaud you for reading the rules and following them, but don't get mad at what's-his-name up there for being leery because lots of people that sell through here either don't read the rules, or willfully ignore them. In a perfect world, we could assume that a seller is following the rules and wouldn't need to specify that the original cd's are included, but sadly, this ain't that kind of place and there are far too many scammers out there. We don't get a lot of bad sales here because a lot of users are vigilant, and that benefits everyone.
And again, thanks for following the rules and selling with integrity.

osxpinot-
I don't do eBay.
And furthermore, if you'll read my post, I didn't say that I am unsure if I could transfer the Adobe license. I am, in fact, sure because I asked the store we bought the volume license from (CDW). What I was unsure of, and forgotten to ask the vendor, was the procedure on transferring it, which after calling Adobe, know know.
I understand the need to protect the members to a point, but I also think you guys are too mistrusting of your own members who hasn't done anything wrong (at least I think I've done nothing wrong in this forum).

Unfortunately trust is something that is earned over time. Continue posting here and I'm sure you'll earn it. To be honest I wouldn't have asked the moderator with 3,000+ posts if he was including the software because I know that he is in the position he is in because the owners of this site trust him. I'm sure he wasn't a moderator and would have been asked very similar questions just starting out with 10 posts.
So just realize that it's nothing personal against you (we have no clue who you are as a person) but just a precaution that would be shown to everyone initially until their track record proves otherwise.
Thanks.

Maan, if your posting is legit, then just say it is and that you're offering the licenses as part of it and be done with it. You're being a bit too "offended" and defensive for someone who believes they're right.
Just look through past posts in this forum, many people ask about the software licenses to "preloaded" software. It's a legitimate question. And it's only fair that any prospective buyer should know. And whether he was interested in your listing or asking for others, he should be able to ask.
And about the "mistrusting" thing. Like I said above, it's a legit question. This thread would have been a lot shorter if you'd have just responded, "yes, all software licenses are included."

I apologize if I seem too offended. I understand where everybody is coming from and perhaps I should have taken it a little lightly. I just wasn't used to my integrity being questioned. But then again, no one knows me here and I now realize that it wasn't personal. So, I apologize to SJohnson615 for firing back the way I did. Same goes to others who may have been offended by my posts.
Seriously, I'm not a bitchy girl. Really.
Anyway, again, I apologize.

Alright, I request that the guy edits his original post to say that the discs etc. are included and the mods delete all of our posts. The guy says he's legit and he's trying to sell a computer, so he should be allowed to do that.
I understand that I came off heavy-handy towards you, but you're a good guy. Good luck with this sale!

I'd be intersted in purchasing a CS2 licensce as well. Please let me know if you want to split up the Tibook package. Thanks!

Hi Jonas-
When I started this posting, I had 3 extra licenses. I since sold 2. Now I'm left with one and I think I have a better chance of selling the TiBook with the Adobe license included. But I'll let you know if someone offers a reasonable price for the TiBook alone. Thanks for asking though.
By the way, Jonas, I had the opportunity to visit Micronesia last year (by way of Guam) for work. It is gorgeous over there and I was dared into doing scuba diving. Turns out to be one of the best things I've done in terms of adventure. I hope to visit again.
