Just like the topic says, I'm looking to sell my 12" PowerBook. I purchased it off of the Apple refurb site about 3 months ago and it runs perfectly with NO cosmetic flaws or dead pixels whatsoever. I thought I needed portability, but screen space is turning out to be much more of a necessity with the web design and graphic work I've been doing...so I'm going to upgrade to MBP.

12" PowerBook G4 w/OSX 10.4.6
1.5 GHz G4
80gb 5400RPM
768 MB RAM
SuperDrive
BlueTooth
Airport Extreme

Like I said above, this thing runs absolutely perfect. The Airport reception is great (I've heard this to be a complaint from other PB owners). Cosmeticly, it's 10/10. Runs perfect and looks perfect in every way, I just need a bigger display on-the-go. This thing is GREAT for portability though.

Looking to get $1000 shipped. Comes with charger, OSX 10.4 discs, and all other manuals and cables that come with every other new Mac computer.

I would obviously also consider trade for a black MacBook, MacBook Pro, or 15.4" or 17" PowerBook.

I can only accept money order. Too many fees and scams and other stuff with Pay Pal. I can of course get original pictures or anything else at a serious buyer/trader's request.

Thanks for looking guys!

Maybe out of your league, but I have a 14" ibook 1.2 Ghz that I am looking to trade for a smaller 12" powerbook. Obviously not a straight trade but maybe if that is big enough for you, we can talk.

No thanks, I can't sacrifice that much performance for screen space. Mainly interested in a MBP or Black MP for trade (or partial trade). Thanks though!

Bump!

Also, I finally have it narrowed down. I eventually want a notebook and a desktop, so I will consider the following in trade . . .

Any size MBP plus cash on my part
Black MacBook (only black)
20" G5 iMac (pretty leinient on the specs with this)
Intel based Mac Mini (Core Duo or Core Solo) plus cash on your part

Absolutely NO PCs, no matter what the specs, unless it comes with like a 30" LCD. Throw out any other Mac items you might have for trade, but I'm pretty well set in what I want this this.

Thanks for looking! Pictures are coming by 5-7 p.m. Monday.

Bump! Make me some offers! I'd really like to move this. $1000 shipped or trade for . . .

MBP plus cash on my part
Black MacBook
20" G5 iMac
Mac Mini Core Duo or Solo plus cas on your part
I MAY be open to other trades, but not likely. DEFINATELY NO PCs.

Hit me up with any questions, etc. I got a SWEET new digital camera on the way, so I'll take some pics ASAP. If you want some now I could use my crappy camera I have at the moment.

Thanks!

Really, the rules of the forum state that you give it a couple of bumps and that is it. I think you are asking too much. I just bought a 1.33Ghz for $635

Newsflash: A Macbook can be had for $100 more. It would smoke this computer. $800 would be a reasonable price for this, especially considering that you're closing off part of the market by not accepting PayPal.

Thanks for the newsflash. So a few too many bumps isn't acceptable, but threadcrapping is ok?

Yeah, a MacBook is only $100 more, but some people may not want a MacBook. Some may want a smaller screen for even more portability. Some people may not want to go Intel yet because they use apps that aren't universal. MacBook may be overkill for some peoples' needs. Some may want the aluminum casing over the white pearl MacBook casing.

I can ask for $10,000 for this laptop if I want. I wasn't aware of the bumping rule and I apologize for that, but don't come in here and tell me my price is way off, especially when I can go on eBay and check the selling prices of recently sold PowerBooks with the exact same specs and find that some are actually going for $950-$1100. Yes, I know, that's eBay, and this is MacNN, but don't thread crap me, please. I'll of course lower the price eventually, I'm just trying to get the max value out of it.

Thanks.
