I have read MANY people post about how they sold their old PB and bought a MB or MBP. What is the safest way to sell your laptop? I don't want to waste a lot of time or get ripped off.

Thanks for any comments.

I have sold 5 computers on eBay, but I have good feedback and I only ship to confirmed PayPal addresses. Craigslist is also a great option.

ebay seems like a good bet, but a lot of people get ripped off with how much they go for. CL might work. around here WOULD work, but no one seems interested.

ps: i'm trying to sell a PB myself and not having much luck.

try talking to people at we love macs, www.welovemacs.com, or a better bet would be DV Warehouse. they're website is www.dvwarehouse.com they both buy so both are a good bet and sell it to the one who gives you a better deal. or you could trade up with powermax.com they give you what its worth towards a new laptop or desktop you buy from them, I hope this helped

Dealers tend to give you less money... I've done ebay, but I hate shipping computers. Craigslist is good because you can meet the person face to face at a Starbucks or something. I request cash in person from craigslisters... and I bring a counterfeit money pen.

You could sell it on consignment, like what http://www.voelkerresearch.com/ does.

Ya, I am looking for a 12" powerbook myself, if that is the one you have. 1.2 Ghz or better. Let me know what price you are selling for...
