I really don't want to use eBay. I'm hoping to sell it to someone in the Sacramento area that can come pick it up. But I suppose I might be willing to ship it if you're willing to pay shipping costs.

Also, wouldn't mind feedback on the fairness of the price. I'm kind of anxious to get rid of this, so I suppose the price is somewhat negotiable. But let's use some common sense and don't make me an insulting offer.

Thanks

Since you asked: I think the price is a drop high even with the second battery. There have been a number of 12" PBs for sale here with better specs and they haven't been able to get $900. The PB I helped my friend post on here ended up on ebay for this reason.

Nice to see a fair description of exactly what's wrong with the machine though, doesn't happen too much any more.

Good luck with the sale.

Thank you for the honest reply. The cost did *feel* high to me. But it just seemed comparable to what others were selling for. I also checked the battery and iWork '05 cost on Froogle. Battery sells for a little over a hundred dollars and iWork '05 for a little under hundred. With that logic, you could either figure you're gettin' the iBook for $700 or you're getting a typical deal for the iBook with a free battery and iWork '05 thrown in. So that's how I'm justifying it. But we'll see what kind of a response I get and I'll adjust price in accordance with supply and demand.
