Well, now that I've sold my G5, I'm looking to buy a lighty used MacBook. Preferably black with at least 1 GB of memory and 100 GB HD. If you have one, please e-mail or PM me. Thanks!

EDITED TO ADD: I might be interested in a 15" Powerbook G4 that is in good condition with at least the above specs.

I know of one that's for sale:

- White with 13.3” glossy widescreen display (1280x800 resolution)

- 2.0ghz Intel Core Duo processor (upgraded from 1.83mhz)

- 1gb RAM (upgraded from 512mb)

- 80gb hard drive (upgraded from 60gb)

- SuperDrive: DVD burner, CD burner, DVD-ROM, CD-ROM all in one (upgrade from CD-RW drive)

The person is looking for around $1500. If it sounds interesting I can put them in touch.

Umm, you do know that you can buy a brand new one with those specs for $1449+tax from Apple; $1349 if you are in education. No brainer.

Mmmhmm, I am quite aware. I was seeing if I could get it used for a tad cheaper.

I am thinking about selling my MacBook to move to a MBP. In absolutely pristine condition with all the original materials/box/etc. Specs:

White 2.0 Intel Core Duo

13.3" Glossy screen

1.25GB memory

120 GB hard drive

SuperDrive

iSight built-in

Remote

$1,650 would include prompt DHL shipping.

If interested, please let me know or feel welcome to contact me with any questions.

Actually, bearcat2000... as you mentioned, one configured with 1GB memory and 80GB drive will be $1,449 + tax from Apple. This puts it over the $1,500 price of the one Scotttheking mentioned. Further, mithren originally asked for a black version, so you need to add $200 more on top of that. A white MacBook as mine is configured with a 120GB hard drive and 2GB of memory is $2,049 + tax which puts it in pretty pricey territory from Apple. No one mentioned selling refurbs here but that is always an option to stay within budget if needed.

Anyway, mithren, looks like you have two alternatives to consider here between Scotttheking's and mine.

Either way you go, I am sure you will very happy with a MacBook!
