do you realize the even a 12 inch ibook G3 sells for at least $400-$450 and your keyboard, mouse and ipod are maybe worth $200 combined

Umm lets see a refurb, which is basically new goes for $199 with all of its accessories and sealed in a box. Used 30Gb ipods are going for about 120-170 and what is a keyboard and mouse worth that has been opened, maybe 70-80 so maybe ast most you are looking at $250

I don't know if he would be interested in trading but it is worth a shot. I would love to have that model Clamshell and it is a G3.

If the iPod is a 10 out of 10 like you say, someone on eBay would probably pay the same price as a refurb. The keyboard and mighty mouse are worth $100 if you have the original boxes and etc. since they are both bluetooth.

These ended within the last week and all are way over $200. So, Schneider, you should really quit the thread crapping unless you have a real idea of what you are talking about.

discotronic, if you really want to show what these ipod videos are worth you would take random ones, but it seems that you picked the highest priced ones on ebay! THeir are also ones that ended for $140 so .... Also these all come with all the accessories and original box finally even if this ipod was worth $200 thats about $300 worth of random stuff that he is trying to trade for an ibook. He has been posting this on every thread, even on threads for perfect condition G4 ibooks which are worth well over $600. So he should stop crapping up every one elses thread with his unreasonable trades. And FYI the original trade that he offered was just for the keyboard and mouse so maybe you should keep quite until you have a real idea of what you are talking about. If you had an ibook would you trade it for a keyboard and mouse. Thanks and maybe you should keep to YOUR SELF until you do a little fair and unbiased research!

He has every right to make an offer to someone even if it is unreasonable. There are plenty of 30GB iPod videos going on eBay for about that same price as a refurb which happens to be the majority of what has been sold over the last couple days. You are the one thread crapping here. You are the one saying that his iPod is only worth $120-$170 which is only your opinion. The value of his iPod can easily be researched by going to eBay and looking. Since he says it is a 10 out of 10 one can conclude that it has all accessories and is perfect.

The majority of his model iPod that sell for under $200 are missing parts, have scratches, not guaranteed to work or are retailer returns. All the ones that I researched where sold today and yesterday which came up to be over 7 pages of listings.

Just because you find what he is willing to trade for a G3 iBook unreasonable doesn't mean that someone else will. The Marketplace here at MacNN isn't a good way to place value on an items because of the small amount of people that come here.
