I have here a Macintosh G5 case. Purchased from ebay, its the epic case for any case mod.
The bad: this case was subjected to a coolant leak from a liquid cooled G5. When they say the G5 coolant is corrosive, they mean it. There are some rusted nuts, slight discoloration on the bottom of the case- all from only 2 dys of soaking.
The good: I have stripped this mac case down to the individual pieces and have removed all of the coolant residue as well as cleaned the surfaces. The screws and nuts affected by the coolant has been separated into individual baggies and there are only a few locations where you can still see the issue when reassembled. I also have all of the front panel electronics, so you can keep the look and feel of the on/off button, USB, audio, FW ports.
I still have this in pieces or can/will reassemble prior to shipping depending on what the buyer wants.
