CHASINGAPPLE what the hell is wrong with you? i read in detail more than a year ago the thread you started about how pleased you were with yourself with the clamshell you bought, even took your advice and installed panther instead of tiger on the one i bought off ebay last december. i love the damn thing. later i read your thread about how you sold it because you were dissatisfied with the resolution. now you want another one? this should be interesting if you care to share WHY? no i do not want to sell mine. thanks for your original thread.

At the time the Clamshell was the only Macintosh I was using and doing the kind of photo work I do 800x600 was very cramped. My projects were taking way too long to finish because of it. My wife has since got herself a Macbook so my use of my 17" iMac is mine again. All of my photo work is now done on there and I would like to once again have a good old Clamshell for my field work. I would have loved to not sell my other one, it was in perfect condition and was very upgraded, but when you need money sometimes you sacrifice. I love the Clamshells, and I am now going to buy one once I find a good one at a good price, I will be primarily using it for OS 9 since a few apps I love to use are native to that OS, and the 800x600 will no longer be an issue for its purposes.

I am glad you liked my original post back in the day about Panther, it does indeed run better then Tiger does on there, and I would never ask you to part with your Clammy just cause I am looking for one, keep on using it my friend!

be patient my brother, i can see a happy clam in your future. a good pismo will be a little harder to find. again patience is the key.

EDIT: i also run os9 on my clam more than half the time. quite"snappy"

I dont think I will pay more then $300 for a fully functional Clamshell. But, if there are things like a brand new battery and a much larger harddrive and such I would consider a price based on those upgrades. Let me know what your baddest Clamshell is and we will talk.

Problem solved. Looks like I will be getting an Indigo Clamshell 366Mhz, 576MB, 10GB, CD with a new battery and Airport card installed. This should suit me just fine, and since it has firewire on it I can install OS X anytime I want, cd or dvd. But it will be running OS 9 100% of the time so no need for OS X...thats what the iMac G4 is for

Thanks for all the offers, and feel free to let this thread die away.
