As the topic sas above, I'm looking to buy a gold iPod mini. I'd prefer one with the box, a good battery, and in good condition. Please PM me or post here if you have one. Thanks!

So you wouldn't consider an immaculate blue one with box and big battery life?

Sorry, no! I have my heart set on a gold one. The new iPod Nano's that came out look tempting but I don't like the colors of them. Plus, to me basic is better on an iPod. Anyways, how much were you looking to get for it just incase any others have interest?

Around $120. I have a nice Incase leather case, the dock, it's under warranty, and iTrip + the box and newer battery. I also have the beltclip and all of the manuals for it.

Thanks for the tips rx7. I saw that yesterday and ordered one. It still hasn't shipped which is making me wonder... Anyways, I'm VERY happy they have them. They haven't had any of them for years and the price is more then great.

They are kind of slow sometimes on shipping the refurbs, don't worry.

Thanks for the info imitchell. They shipped my order out just a few hours ago and has an estimated delivery of Monday which is super! Apple is way ahead of the 5 day shipping quote they gave me. Does anyone have any good ideas for accessories to get for the mini such as cases, etc? I'm trying to stay on the inexpensive side. Is ebay a great place to pick up things for the mini? Also, would a dock be a good idea? Thanks for the help, I know I'm asking a lot of questions -- I haven't bought an iPod since buying my iPod 40 GB G3 around 3-4 years ago.

If you want a leather case, try to looks for a case made by Incase. They have great leather cases. Mine is over a year old, and still smells like new leather. If you want a silicone case, go for iSkin or zCover. iSkin is cheaper, and a bit higher in quality I think. Enjoy your mini

I use a griffen iTrip mini, a belkin car charger and then the standard cables. I don't bother with docks at all. My most used accessory is the firewire AC adapter, since i use my USB cable to transfer, i can just plug the firewire cable into the adapter and leave it there.

The docks are useless on the road, but if you're like me, I use my iPod with my iMac at home, so it is very nice to have, and also nice to sit my mini on if it is plugged into my home stereo.

I can definitely see how that'd be handy, but I'm constantly traveling to and from work, classes, home and my dorm, so I practically live in my car. That and I have my computer plugged into my stereo, so when I'm in my room, my iPod is either idle or charging and my music comes from the comp. To each his(or her) own though i suppose.

I agree with you. If you have a home computer, not connected to a stereo, they are nice. If you don't you really don't need one.

Thanks for the info guys. I want to be able to show off the color of my iPod afterall... do you know of any see-through cases? I saw a see-through one on eBay but I'm not sure. What's everyones experience with these? Also, should I expect almost perfect battery life on my refurb? Also, is there a test I can do on the battery life and the player in general to make sure it's perfect? I wouldn't want to end up with a defective player! Thanks for the help everyone, I'm know I'm asking WAY too many questions!

No problem with questions, that's what forums are for! Contour has some clear cases. I have one for my 4G iPod. It is pretty nice, it is transparent on the front and back. Also, iSkins are semi-transparent. You should expect perfect battery life on your mini, which is about 8 hours. To test this, load it up with songs and turn off all options like backlight, EQ, and Sound Check. Make sure that the HD doesn't make any scratching sounds constantly. It will make some every once in a while, but that is normal. Also make sure the backlight is nice and even.

Hey guys. I just thought I'd let you know that I received my iPod Mini. It's even more gorgeous then I remember! I'll take some pictures of it next to my 40 GB G3 iPod asap. This thing is so sleek and small. I'm happy I decided to go with the gold mini I like rather then the new nano because I'd just be kicking myself.
