Looking for a blackbook.....Apple store sells refurbished for $1299 with free shipping. You need to beat this price, or by the end of the week I'm going direct to apple.

Please email me with offers.

Thanks,
Charles

Hi Aaron,

I would probably just skate the tax by having it delivered to my sister's apartment in Delaware.

I think you offered a good deal, and your feedback and reputation speak for themselves. I just want a great deal! An amazing deal

$1200 shipped for used one is a great deal.

We all want great deals! Unfortunately my offer was only a fair deal. Watch my auction, you never know it might end lower than $1200. 3 days .01 no reserve!

Hi charlespsu.

You might check some other retailers in your area. I just bought one at CompUSA as a refreshed unit in literally brand new condition. I could not tell it from a brand new one but they had a couple of these in the back. I just asked if they had anything and the rep told me about these. Had the same full one-year warranty and all and they had some kind of promo going on so I paid just under $1,230. I am a merchant so I will sell the unit at some point, but I got it tax exempt. This is what I call a great deal! I had it right then, I was able to check it out and see it before buying and I have 14 days to return it. This is something you might check out at your local stores.
Either way, $1,200 is about right for one of these as a used unit without full warranty. Plus with the possibility/chatter of a Core Duo 2 looming, the value of these older machines will be taking another hit.

Thanks Terry! I will call a few stores around me and see what they have available. Of course, let me know if you want to sell yours.

I too wonder when the Core Duo 2 will be announced. I hope it's before the Holidays.

Hey charlespsu,

I'll let you know about mine, but as it looks, I'll probably hang onto it for a while. I also have a MacBook Pro but the size of the MAcBook (non-pro) is perfect for me since I am on the move out of the office all the time.

Not sure about anything solid on the CD2, but there is simply no sense in paying too much for one of these early Rev models. I made up my mind to go as high as $1,250 as that's pretty much what they are really worth... I mean, you can get the white model for just over $1,000 many places so the color difference isn't exactly worth the world realistically.

Just to get a plug in... anyone looking for a nice MacBook Pro, 2.0/512/80?

Good luck with your search charles and if I run into any deals this week, I'll let you know!
