What are your impressions of the BenQ monitor in the pic?

You did read the note that the monitors are NOT included right?

The BenQ monitors is great. It was less than $300. It is energy star compliant, and goes to sleep when the Apple monitor goes to sleep (ViewSonic monitors have no sleep mode!!!) When the monitors are side by side like mine always are, you can see how the color and brightness aren't as good, and the viewing angle is also not as good. If the monitors were in different rooms and I had to walk back and forth to compare, I might not be able to notice a difference. There is one FLAW though, about 1 in 10 times when I wake up my computer from display sleep, the BenQ gets a "no signal" error, or something like that. Even though its DVI. Actually i think the error says something about the rate. Either way, you have to either sit and wait for the screens to go to sleep agian and re-wake them up to get it back, or you can go into System Prefs, Displays, Gather Windows, and on the BenQ's window, change the res, or color depth, or anything really. Then it comes back, then you can change the setting back and you are good to go. Its annoying but other than this its a great second monitor. I'm half thinking about buying a 3rd. There might be a firmware update for the monitor but its probably a windows only app so I haven't even bothered looking. Although when the Mac Pro comes that is replacing the G5 I'm ebaying, maybe i'll look then and see if I can update it.

Thanks. I am looking to pick up a monitor for my dad in the near future and I've noticed great prices on the BenQ monitors.

One last ping for interest, as the auctions are both ending very soon. I started this thread using my G5, but I'm writing this reply on my Mac Pro :-D

The G5 has been returned from the buyer because the front firewire port is not functional. I never used it and so I didn't know this. So before I list it back on ebay, anyone here wanna call dibs on it? Price is $1200.
