Description
The TP-400FW is a twisted pair transmitter or receiver for FireWire (IEEE 1394) signals. When used in pairs, one will convert a FireWire signal into a twisted pair signal and the other will convert the twisted pair back to a FireWire signal and simultaneously output the twisted pair signal to another TP-400FW.
•Twisted Pair Ports - RJ-45.
•FireWire Ports - 1 Front or 1 Rear.
•System Range - Up to 100 meters (320’) using a pair of TP-400FWs and up to 500 meters (1600’) using a 6 TP-400FWs.
•Cable - UTP (unshielded twisted pair) such as CAT5.
•EDS Protection - Incorporates Kramer’s Spark-GuardTM signal protection circuitry to help protect against EDS (electrostatic discharge) which can damage digital equipment.
•Power Connect™ System - Only one unit in a system - the transmitter or receiver - needs to be connected to a power source. All the system units must have Power Connect to use this feature.
•Desktop Size - Compact size. Two units can be rack mounted side-by-side in a 1U rack space with the optional RK-80 adapter.
