Well I have finished the testing with the Orange Micro OrangePC 660 's and have put it up on Ebay, I know I know I m not fond of them either but it is alot easier. Any way I upgraded the cpu to an AMD K6/2-550 and maxed the ram. The rest is listed in the description. Good luck to all and Happy Holidays.

Well sorry but Ebay removed the auction stating I violated a copyright infringment. I am now trying to resolve the issue due to the fact Orange Micro is no longer in existance . Even though they dropped it in a secong it will probably take me a day or two to get it back up. I'll post the new link when it goes back up.
Sorry but Ebay sucks, what can I say.

I've had this happen with a different company, and you will never get it resolved. eBay has no way to appeal their decision, and obviously, you're not going to be able to contact the original company. If you relist it, they'll take it down again and make you take a quiz about copyrights before you can list again. If you relist it a 2nd time, they'll probably suspend you.

Out of curiosity, what copyright did you violate selling a piece of hardware?!

Maybe instead you should just post the item for sale in the forum with description / pictures? Just an idea

Copyright infringement? For a piece of hardware that you legitimately own?

Well I think from what I had read the software I included was the infringement, however Orange Micro went out of Business around 2004 so there shouldn't be any infringements, heck if your good enough you can search around the net to download it.

Anyway I am trying it again with listing the fact that Orange Micro is no more, I had sold some a few years back the same way and had no problem, I guess someone with no life must have filed a complaint and Ebay just followed along.
Well here's the new link again
eBay: * RARE ORANGE MICRO ORANGEPC 660 W/ AMD K6-2/550 * (item 140070871967 end time Jan-13-07 11:50:53 PST)

Also for the info, it's an OrangePC 660 with (2) 128mb sdram chips , AMD K6-2/550 cpu and is tested thoroughly on my MDD in OS9 though don't buy it for the MDD it's a pain in the to get running on them but I never tried it on the earlier G4's, the G3's and earlier work great . Only runs under OS9 they never made it to OSX before discontinuing it.

Well email if you have questions

You might have this listing pulled as well. Read the first paragraph of the article at the link.

http://gpci.com/Media/Press%20Releases/30617.htm

The company probably receives e-mail alerts when an Orange Micro item is listed.

Reminded me of the time I tried to auction my Poser 5 package only to have the listing cancelled with an e-mail referral to call up Curious Labs. They reminded me that, as per the EULA, I wasn't allowed to sell the software without their permission.

Well that brings light to a whole bunch of things I have pondered in the past. So basicially "Acticon Technologies LLC" is tha company who gets to sit on their fatty acid and make every card manufacturer buy their patent . Now I know why pci cards had a high price tag, I'm sure Orange micro had to buy licencing from Microsoft to sell the software, No wonder why the went out of buisness.
And yep Ebay took this one off, guess I have to sell the card without the software. Ebay wrote me back and said the software duplication was the reason. I'll put a link up when I fix the description again.

I bet those kers are the people who put Orange Micro outta business.

They were a tried and true Mac company since the 80s.
