I would like to spend around 20-30 dollars, decent condition. Also interested in other speakers. No blowns speakers. Also I was wondering if these would work with the macbook and not just the g4 imac.

I have a pair that I stripped the proprietary Apple connector off of and wired into another computer speaker amp. They work great, and are now compatible with everything. (not selling, just pointing out that you need not be limited to PMG4 and iMacG4)
Alternatively, Griffin used to make a product called iFire that would adapt these speakers to anything with a firewire port (I've heard of people using a iPod firewire power adapter+iFire to power their Apple Pros)

Anything Logitech or Altec Lansing will do you well. Get a cheaper model and it will sound good and save your wallet too. Bose is the best but too expensive.
