Im considering getting rid of my Nikon D50. I havent had the chance to use it that much.
I would just be getting rid of the body unless someone were also interested in the kit lens (18-55mm) as well.
The camera is in pristine condition. I have all of the documentation and boxes and what not.
No trades please.

I can provide pictures upon request. But it really looks like all other D50s, no scratches, blemishes, or anything of that sort.

Any questions?
Looking for around $400 shipped for the body.

Here are some pictures of the D50
Both LCD Screens have been covered with The Invisible Shield right out of the box, I will include the email confirmation from The Shield Zone that allows for unlimited replacement of this protective film.

If you are stuck between the D40 and the D50, send me an email. I have a wealth of knowledge about the nikon dslr line and could help you make a decision. The D40 is really a glorified point and shoot camera, theres not a whole lot of room for expansion if you ever want to be more creative with your photos. I have been really happy with my D50, great performance, easy to use, I just cant justify having it and not using it.

I have previous sales on MacRumors and ebay feedback under bep207

Here are the pictures of the body. Like I said I would also part with the Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5 lens that came with this kit.
The LCD looks much more shiny in these photos due to the protective film on them. I really dont notice it while using it though.

Nikon D40 Review: 1. Introduction: Digital Photography Review

The D40 is really a glorified point and shoot camera?

Ability to point and shoot, yes
but that is just the beginning, some consider D40 picture quality a HUGE step up from the old D50 or even D70S
Do not settle for the world in shades of grey

i assume that you havent used both cameras then?
I have extensively tested and used both cameras and based my conclusions from my personal experience.
If you enjoy purchasing overpriced AF-S lenses only and enjoy the lack of a top LCD then, yes the D40 is a great deal. The same price as the much more feature rich D50.
