So I leased this car back in May and I don't like it at all. I'm trying to sell it so I can buy another RX-8. The car is in awesome condition, and has really low miles since I'm trying not to drive it. The outright price IS the lease buyout (no markup, no profit) so the price is non-negotiable (unless you want to call Honda yourself and try to work em a little). If you want to re-lease it, it will go through a company that deals specifically in releasing cars. They'll buy out my car, and then release it to you. You'll have a brand new lease on the car. The figure below is based on 12,000 miles a year and 36 months, but it can be adjusted like all leases.

Price:
$27,900 Outright
$489/mo - $0 Down to re-lease

You know, the money doesn't have to actually fall from the sky. See if your bank or credit union do auto loans. Most do, then just cut the check to honda, i give you the keys and ba-da-bing i'm free and you guys have a car you like!

Nice car. If you lived in SoCal and if I didn't already have a relatively new car, I would have seriously considered it.

i doubt the point is that they're comparable, rather that he already fairly recently bought a car.

Yeah, it's just sorta like saying "Oh dude I'd totally buy that really nice 2 month old ferrari, but I just spent $1500 on a rusty 88 chevy celebrity, so I don't need a car right now".

Just a very odd thing to say, considering the two cars are lightyears apart in price, category, and performance.
