Hi guys
I have a G4 iBook I purchased almost two years ago. Recently it died on me, so now I have to buy a new laptop, and therefore I'm selling the iBook for parts/repairs as is. I'm not 100% sure what's wrong, but it does have several parts that still work fine. I wanted to try selling it here before going to eBay. The specs:
~1.2 Ghz G4 PowerPC
~256 MB RAM built-in plus 256 MB RAM extra stick
~Combo drive
~AirPort Extreme
~Battery (works awesome)
I didn't put anything about the hard drive because it's incredibly likely it's one of the faulty parts, and I can't boot in order to wipe it of my data, so I've removed it. The logic board is a very likely reason for the death, but I can't be totally sure. But, to my knowledge most of the parts listed above (the processor and built in memory are obviously questionable) are in perfect working order, the screen works great, and the battery is in excellent shape, as it was purchased several months ago when the original battery died. The keyboard will come detached, as it doesn't want to sit right. It still works fine, but also has a missing spring in one of the locks. Does not come with system discs other than the Diagnostic disc, as the Apple Repair center kept my OS X install disc that was in the optical drive when I sent it in last time. Comes with the power cable. The end is slightly bent, but it still fits in the iBook and charges it just fine, but the indicator light doesn't always turn on. I can provide more pictures on request. It will come shipped in the original box.
I'm asking $300 plus $10 shipping anywhere in the US, since I've been told some of the parts do tend to cost quite a bit of money. At the moment I only take Paypal. I have only 14 references on eBay (many of my items don't sell, when I do actually have items to sell), but I do have a 100% feedback rating, and also have references from other message boards. I will negotiate on prices if necessary.

Bump for offers. I'm willing to negotiate to avoid eBay and it's fees. And if the image doesn't work for anyone else, I'll reupload it in a few hours when I get home from work.

Well, mostly it won't turn on at all whatsoever. The only times it would start on me is after opening it and removing everything needed to get to the hard drive and then reassembling it. I opened it to verify that the hard drive cable was firmly plugged in due to hard drive issues I was having. I booted it up, and it ran fine for about 15 minutes before the screen went black (with backlight still on though), and then two seconds later it totally powered off and wouldn't power back on at all. I opened it, sniffed around for obvious burned out parts but couldn't find anything obvious, so I put it back together, and it booted. But, as soon as I got into OS X, the cursor started to move erratically and I couldn't control it. So I powered it off, grabbed some spare mice, and tried two different ones. When I powered it on again, neither the trackpad nor the button responded, so I plugged in the two mice, and they could move the cursor, but the only things that would respond to me clicking were the icons in the upper right bar (time, power, etc.). But this time it shut off on me after only five minutes.
Basically, it seems to me like it's either the hard drive (which doesn't come with the laptop anyways because if it turns out to be okay, it still has my info on it) or the logic board (which seems stupid because I had it replaced about four months ago). Everything else works as far as I know, including the expansion memory, the AirPort Extreme card, the battery, the screen, the optical drive, etc.
