Things added recently:
I'm willing to do trades for anything. I've got a Targus PA090 USB 1.1 port replicator that will work with Windows 2k or XP - it adds four USB ports, two PS/2 ports, and one each ethernet, serial, and parallel. It's excellent if you have a newer laptop or desktop without xlegacy ports, but you still have legacy equipment.

DVDs are $5 each, CDs are $2 each, PS2 games are $5 each. Add an extra $1.25 on for shipping; multiple items will get a discount if I can (I ship Media Mail through USPS; CDs go First Class because of the envelope size)

DVDs (don't have chapter booklets unless specified - most of these I bought used at Blockbuster or Hollywood Video):

> American Beauty
> Billy Madison
> Happy Gilmore (fullscreen)
> I <3 Huckabees
> One Hour Photo
> Sgt. Bilko
> Super Troopers

CDs (all have cases, booklets, original art, etc...ask for compilation track listings)
> VH1 behind the music (compilation)
> Margaret Becker - Steps of Faith 1987-1991
> WOW - 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2000
> "With Honors" soundtrack
> My Fair Lady soundtrack (not the one from the movie with Rex Harrison and Audrey Hepburn - it's just a generic one, but the singing is good)
> Mark Reed - Good Medicine
> "The Transporter" soundtrack
> Rebecca St. James - God
> Fono - Goesaroundcomesaround
> Avalon - In a Different Light
> Jaci Velasquez - Heavenly Place
> Simply Xcellent $1.99 sampler
> Electro Shock Therapy
> Blessid Union of Souls - Home
> Simply Spectacular $2.99 sampler
> Margaret Becker - Simple House
> Michael W. Smith - Go West Young Man
> Heart of Worship - Peaceful Praise
> The Race - This Hope
> Congradulations class of 2002 (compilation)
> Rebecca St. James - Pray
> Evan and Jaron - Crazy for This Girl (single)
> R.E.M. - Eponymous

PlayStation 2 games
> Outlaw Golf
> Ratchet & Clank
> Simpson's Hit & Run

I'm looking for a few things:

> Any clamshell keyboard (needs to work but can be missing keys or have key labels rubbed off)

> Tangerine/Orange Epson 740i snap-on printer faceplate

> Back top case to a clamshell iBook - any color, but blueberry preferred. I just need the back part with the big Apple logo that sits behind the LCD. i don't need the inside frame/bezel

> Any clamshell CD or DVD drive bezel, blueberry or indigo preferred

I'm looking for low, low prices. I'm trying to save money these days, but if anyone can unload some of this stuff on me for cheap, PM or post here. Some if this stuff I posted about several months ago, but people's stock of items can change, so here you go.

Would also like clamshell shipping + accessory boxes.

Thanks!!

I've a blueberry one with a crack. It is missing the leaf off the apple. Happy to trade it to you for just about anything.

I've got a clamshell DVD drive that's missing the bezel, cable, and frame/bracket. Also might have an extra Samsung clamshell LCD cable. Umm...I've got several modems that should fit clamshells and any of the 802.11b Airport Base Stations with modems...and maybe iBook G3s.

I've got some other miscellaneous computer parts...a USB 1.1 universal docking thingy from Targus, if you might need that. I'm not sure if it's Mac-compatible, but it adds two PS/2, a parallel and serial, plus like four USB 1.1 ports to any computer. Excellent if you have an older laptop that you need to use at home once in awhile with peripherals - mouse, printer, keyboard, and the like. I think it also adds ethernet and audio, IIRC. That's about the only useful computer thing I've got left that I can really part with.

Oh, and I've got a couple of old Verizon-compatible cell phones if you need one. One's an Audiovox 8900; I don't remember what the other one is. Anything else you can think of you might like (e.g. if nothing here is a suitable trade)?

P.S. Can you post pics? I'd like to see how bad the crack is.

Pics are here:

The crack doesn't show up well in the top view. I didn't remember to edge being that bad, but it's a bit nasty. It won't be a structural problem because the metal shield sits right behind it. If you still want it, LMK!

Hmmm...that does look pretty bad. The shield should help, but I'm not entirely sure it would stay on well since two of the screw holes are ripped out.

If you can, hang on to it and if I can't find anything else, maybe we can work something out.

Incidentally, I own that very Epson 740i printer with tangerine cover. I've been quietly looking for a laser printer to replace the whole kit, so it's not exactly up for grabs. Yet.

I don't know how long you're waiting to hold out, but if I end up replacing it with something newer and faster, I will come look for you first! I hope to do something about the printer situation sometime this year. I have a tolerance/intolerance relationship with that 740i. Meh.

Hooray! Definitely keep me posted. My 740i works just fine, but if I ever sell my tangerine iBook, I'll sell the printer with it as a bundle, so I'd like the matching cover.

Let me know whenever. Thanks!

Oh - and if you want to sell the printer, maybe we can just trade covers. Mine has the stock blueberry/bondi blue one.

Last bump. I'll repost again in a few months (maybe in May or something) if nobody else bites.

Techound1 awesomely has traded my good graphite parts with his (her?) blueberry parts, so I'm going to almost have a working second iBook that I will eventually list on here for sale.

The only parts I'm going to need to make the thing saleable are a yo-yo (or third-party) power adapter, a clamshell keyboard, and possibly an LCD (if my upgrade project doesn't pan out). Oh, and a CD bezel, preferably in blueberry.

Willing to trade or pay, preferably low prices.

Uh, this is sooooooo not a convenient timing thing, but a sincere coincidence (or maybe I jinxed it by bringing it up here): my Epson 740i with the tangerine cover DIED this week. There was a nasty paper jam a week ago, and it started streaking and printing too lightly for about 20 pages and then it just printed blank sheets. I checked the ink cartridge, and it was a little too light (e.g., empty), so I bought a replacement.

Well, that replacement didn't work (though I'm sure the ink is quite ok, since it was bought from the store this week). Then I tried a radical cleaning method which worked once before for me (alcohol-soaked paper towel under the track while power is off and print assembly isn't locked), but that didn't do it. Given that I don't have time to tinker with it, that I have some major academic and professional deadlines hammering down at the same time, and given that I haven't bothered in the last year to print in colour on that printer anyway, I moved up my plans on replacing it.

Initially, my plan was to buy a b/w laser printer as a replacement. I instead went a little overboard and bought a Xerox Phaser 6120N which, while CAD$339 was more than I wanted or planned to spend, all things considered, that price, vis-a-vis the quality and warranty, kind of floored me. They're clearing out stock for new models, I think (as did the sales person, since this was their last one).

Aaaaaaaanyway, the point I should be making (when I have next to no time to be wasting right now) is that if you want the whole 740i, just the tangerine lid, or the lid + the ink cartridge (which I would seal with tape to keep it from drying out), it's yours. I would even toss in the tangerine USB cable (yes, this came with a tangerine OEM USB cable).

The only catch is it will be a few weeks (plan on March) before I can get to this, and since this would be shipped over the border, I'd have to find out how cheaply I can send it over. The rest of the printer, sans lid, I can just put out on Freecycle or something (or if you want to send up the lid you're replacing, that might work, too).

So, a few options to play with, I suppose. Mull over it when you get some time and PM me if you want to consider any of what's here.

Didn't want to start a new thread, so I added to the top thread some stuff for sale - DVDs, CDs, and a few PS2 games.

And, yes, I do have a crapload of CCM (contemporary Christian music) for sale. The Fono album isn't bad, but most of the stuff is total crap. I used to be into that stuff when I was in junior high. No idea what I was thinking. I can provide sample music of any of the albums listed - e.g. a song or two in MP3 format.
